intro to memi san

Well let me start off with an introduction to memi san, i met this cute guy from thiruvananthapuram, at bangalore where he came to pursue his higher education. The moment i met this guy he very much reminded me off the very old cartoon character "SUPPANDI" by his looks. I was glad to hear that he was an engineering graduate.
The first meeting was short as i was leaving to my work place, couple of week later i had been to my friends place where he was staying. We all had an outing together and this is where "MEMI SAN" was born.

Since he was there a couple of weeks in bangalore i just casually asked him
Me " Hey nee kannada padicho arjune"

Memi " Illa chetta enikku japaneesae ariyan padullu"

Me " nee engana japaneese padichu"

memi " njan cartoon kandu padichu"

Me " enganaya appo japaneesil peru chodikkunathu "

Memi " Athu chetta japaneesil peru chodikkilla, karanam avar arae kandalum swayam introduce cheyyukayanu pathivu"

We all were astonished by hearing this, later in an hour he was pestering me to see a animation series called "Death note" and then we under stood why he said that japaneese people dont ask their names.
All the animation characters in the series that he was seeing always introduced them by saying their names.
We all laughed thinking about his logic. I had a instinct to name him Vasu and did so and started calling him by name Vasu, he was terribly frustrated by the name Vasu. He then requested to me to call him MEMI
One of my friends Deepak asked him " Memiyo athenthu perada arjunae? "

Memi " Chetta aa peeru pandae thottae ullathanu, athukondangane vilicha mathi"

Deepak " Pandae thottullathennu paranjal ehtrakalam muthalada?"

Memi " Athu chetta enikku ZERO vayasullappol, pachanu TWO vayasullappol ennae pachan anganae vilichathanu" (Pachan is his cousin)

So due to the centuries old name MEMI and his liking towards japaneese culture we rechristned him "MEMI SAN" San in japaneese is a sign of respect.
